Check out what I am doing at the Missouri House of Representatives.

Welcome to my Re-Election Campaign!

I am excited to announce my re-election campaign to continue serving as your State Representative in Missouri's 71st district.

As I begin my re-election, I wanted to revisit my values and the values of my constituents, for whom I will be fighting for in Jefferson City. For myself, one has always sat at the top of my list, health care. It is part of the reason I am thrilled to be the Ranking Member on the House's Health and Mental Health committee, however my interest in healthcare began long before I was elected. At Tulsa University I received my degree in sports medicine, which led me to operating my own business, Orthomotion.

Being a business owner gave me one perspective on healthcare, however being a cancer survivor has given me a new perspective. Fortunately I had quality affordable health care, which lead me to focus on my health and not my wealth. Many Missourians do not have quality health care coverage or in many cases no healthcare coverage at all. They often must choose between food on the table or going to the doctor. This must change!

In this post-Roe world, we need to do everything we can to educate and fight for reproductive and healthcare rights. We have no choice but to do everything we can, because we quite literally have no choice.

Since 2004, I have been working with Democrats who uphold similar values. I have spent hours knocking on doors, phone banking, registering voters, serving on democratic clubs and dedicating time to rallies. I was elected in 2012 to be a delegate for the Democratic National Convention. That same year, I also helped organize the Welcome Home Heroes parade to celebrate our brave veterans of the Iraq war.

This coming election will bring new challenges in Missouri, some we know, some we do not. These include overcoming restrictive voting rights, holding all perpetrators and conspirators behind the events of January 6 accountable, solving the gender-pay gap, combating climate change by encouraging green solutions, among many more. Please see the issues page for more info or contact me personally and I can let you know how to get involved. To contact me click here.

As Always, Peace Love & Paw,
